Roger Gary....lead vocals and rythm guitar Roger is a founding member of Witches Brù. He grew up in Winfield Park, NJ and slept with an AM transistor radio under his pillow. He moved to Piscataway, NJ in 1964 and currently resides in Forked River, NJ. Roger took accordion lessons while a youngster and traded the accordion in for a baseball uniform. After forming Witches Brù back in 1966 he received guitar lessons from Doc Reti. Some people say that playing with the band again is Roger’s mid-life crisis. Roger's reply..... “Hey! Beats buying a Mercedes”!
Ed is a founding member of Witches Brù. Ed was born in Warrington, England, grew up in Piscataway, NJ and currently resides in Ringoes, NJ. Ed plays a Roland Juno keyboard and wishes he had his original Farfisa Mini-Compact back. What’s Ed’s thoughts on the garage band resurgence? “Hey man, it’s only Rock & Roll”!
Chris grew up in Bethlehem Township , PA. He trained as a classical pianist at the starting age of 7-years old and eventually taught himself how to play various other instruments (drums, guitar,etc.) as he grew up. Chris attended Notre Dame High School where he excelled in baseball and football. He continued his athletic career into college and graduated from Moravian College. He spent a number of years in California but eventually returned to Pennsylvania . He currently resides in Quakertown , PA and is still pursuing his love of music whether on the piano, behind the drums or more currently playing the bass for Witches Brù. Chris joined Witches Brù in May 2005.
Jeff Marlon hails from Brooklyn, New York and grew up listening and playing then current, now classic, rock. His first gig was at the Coney Island Jewish Community Center in 1969, just off the boardwalk on Surf Ave.. The band, the SeaGaters (named after the neighborhood where he grew up, included his bother, Mitch, on lead guitar) played new songs by Jimi Hendrix, Cream , Led Zeppelin and 10 Years After. Jeff moved to Bridgewater, New Jersey in 1970. and played drums in the Bridgewater High School East concert and marching bands and ended up as soloist triplet player in his senior year. Jeff and his brother played in the club/frat band Starbolt in 1973 at Rutgers College, New Brunswick, NJ on a weekly basis. Jeff joined Witches Brù in March 2007.
Fred started his musical career playing the trombone in the 5th grade. He picked up the guitar at the age of 14. His first band, Flight, was started when he was 15 years old. Fred's professional band, Sinister Charm, was started in 1979. The band was reformed about four times since then and they eventually put out a CD which is available on I-Tunes. After Sinister Charm Fred was in many cover bands such as Pretty Baby, Metal Fatigue, Electric Revelation, Sundries and E=MC2. In 1982 Fred became a sound engineer and toured with Twisted Sister and Joan Jett. Fred joined Witches Brù in January 2009. |
